Ghost

What a great subject to work from! Ghost! My best friend and I talked about a career as ghost hunters but wisely realised we'd both die the first time we saw one so dropped that plan. I did, however , grow up to see a real ghost... it was witnessed by me and my young son from two different points of view ... weird!
I sketched this lady while watching that great old movie "Gaslight" on the Turner Classic Moives network.... I love that channel.

Happy Haunting!

This is fabulous! I love the gothic feeling of the setting, and the muted washes of color really accentuate the ghostly feeling. Great piece!

Ooh yes, TCM is an all time favorite channel at our house. Love how they are showing the old Dick Cavett shows. There was some great interviews on there!

I really liked the colors you used. I also think the lady ghost is fantastic the way she flows, matching the sway of the curtains and the banister.
